I haven't written a blog in a few days, I've been busy..Usually I'm not. Today I'm going to talk about the importance of Mascara. If there's just one thing you apply in the morning, let it be Mascara...And lip gloss so make it 2 things. Mascara will open your eyes up making them look bigger and make you look more awake and alive. I hate seeing females without any mascara on. It's kinda gross. No offence, that's just my opinion. Now there's tons of different Mascaras out there so which one's the best? Well I don't know, but I know which ones I think are the best. Like most people I have tried a million trillion different types of mascaras in my life. Every time one comes out that claims to make my lashes 10 times fuller and 30% longer I rush to buy it. And usually I'm disappointed. Well I have a few favourites that didn't disappoint me.
For a Drugstore brand: I don't usually like Drug store makeup because it doesn't last as long and the quality isn't usually very good. But out of the drugstore brands that's my favourite is Revlon 3D extreme. I think that's the one with Jessica Alba in the commercial. XXL by maybelline is a good one too. And makup artist swear by Great Lash by Maybelline. You know that one in the pink and green container that's been around forever. I don't like it that much but it's a favourite to a lot of top makeup artist. Also, the mascara that Drew Barrymore is the spokes person for, Lash Blast, I think it's called. That seems like a good one, because I noticed when I was at Shoppers yesterday they were sold out of it. So I might give it a try. Most decent drugstore brands cost between $10-15. If you're going to buy drug store mascara, any of those brands are pretty good.
Bad Gal Lash by Benefit is one of my very favourites. I use to only be able to get it at Sephora but most Shoppers Drugmarts just started carrying it. The brush is pretty intimidating at first because it's as thick as my thumb. You want me to put that near my eye, I thought the first time I used it. But I got use to it. And it really makes your lashes super thick and long and really stand out. It cost about $30. It seems to last longer then most mascaras. I had mine for 4 months before it stopped working wonders.
Dior Show by Christian Dior. This one I bought recently and it's really amazing. It is probably my very favourite mascara I've ever had. It's the same mascara they use for all the Dior fashion shows and ad campaigns . It strengthens your lash and makes them separate, long and lushous. It's about $40 but it's definitely worth it!
Both Olsen twins dress pretty wonky, but Mary-Kate is worst. That's how I can tell them apart, because Ashley is usually dressed a little strange but Mary-Kate is dressed like a lunatic. So I'm going to mainly focus on MK in this Blog.
Gollum, the Third Olsen Twin? Is it just me or does MK and Gollum look exactly alike?.. No, it's not just me, they're like F'n twins! Or maybe they're the same person. Somebody check the Lord of the Rings credits, who played Gollum? ..And why is she all hunched over and scared looking? Like She's clutching her 'Precious' Fur coat and hissing 'Minesssssss'. Ok you'd only get that if you've actually seen Lord of the Rings.. I just can't get over how much they look alike. It's really creeping me out.. Ok enough of this freakishness, let's scroll away from this pic and take a look at MK's Bag lady sense of Style.
Yeah, this is what normal people wear when they go grocery shopping. MK's real normal, she's just like the rest of us..And to think, I felt silly wearing stilettos to the grocery store. Nice job at trying not to get noticed by the Paparazzi's MK. Because I'm sure they'd have a really difficult time selling these pics of you looking like a Gothic homeless person to US Weekly. So now I completely understand why Stavros, or whatever his name is, left MK for Paris. Don't get me wrong, I hate Paris as much as the next person. But if I were a guy, I would much rather have boring (you know what I mean if you've seen her sex tape), skanky, STD filled sex with Paris then with the Grim Reaper over there. Sure, Stavros probably caught a bad case of Gonorrea but that's curable, and anythings better then hanging out with Satans version of a Treasure Troll.
MK teetering down the street looking like a downtown hookers on her way to her dealers house. The funny thing is, is her whole outfit, bag and shoes included, probably cost thousands of dollars but she still somehow manages to look like $20 prostitute. We all know she's not using those sunglasses to hide the glare of the sun, she's wearing them so the paparazzis don't get a shot of her hazy eyes. And why is she Always wearing black. We all know black is a slimming color but is she that obsessed with looking slim?..Oh yeah..She really is..She had that...errrr...Eatting disorder..Lets not go there because that's a serious issue..So anyways, lets talk about Michelle from Full house. How cute was she?! What happened? See the sad thing is, is when you see strung out crack heads downtown you don't really feel sad because you don't know how cute they were when they were little. But with MK we all know how cute she was, and how hookish she looks now, and it's pretty darn sad.
There's that feather purse again. But this isn't about the purse, it's about those things on her legs. What makes me mad about this picture is that her outfit is actually nice. I would even say that I really like it. But then she goes and ruins it by wearing those, what are they, shoes? She was so close. So close to looking like a nice put together young lady. It's like sophisticated lady on top, gladiator warrior on the bottom. MK get a stylist and rehab, Pleeease!
Ok enough with the drug jokes your thinking right? Well I don't have any other explanation for why she dresses like..Well.. A person on drugs. So having said that lets take a look at MK all bundled up in LA. It's probably a hot and sunny day. But yet she's all bundled up in a scarf? Why you ask? Well this is what happens when you start to come down from the loads of drugs done the night before, you feel cold. Even if it's 40 degrees C. So she throws on whatever clothes are on her floor, puts on some big sun glasses to hide the dilated pupils and heads to the closed coffee shop in hopes that some caffeine will help with that Sketchy feeling. Looks like rehab wasn't much of a help to MK. Maybe she should try the clinic Lohan was at. She seems to be coke free these days.
MK's like a little mini stripper. Always wearing mini dresses and stiletto stripper shoes. And look these ones have that florance pink that glows under black light. Don't get me wrong, I like strippers. I have acouple friends who are dancers and I think they're just fabulous. You may disagree but it's my blog and my option. However, I don't think stripper shoes and mini-dresses are the best style choices for a CEO billionaire. When I think CEO I think tailored Gucci pant suites and Chanel jackets. I don't really think of 10 inch pink and white stillettos. So MK stop fantasizing about becoming the worlds smallest exotic dancer and start dressing like the Multi-million dollar CEO that you are.
Hats: I looove hats. And if you read last Wednesdays blog, you would know that white hats are going to be very 'in' this spring. Hats are a wonderful accessory. It adds a little something extra to this otherwise sort of ordinary tube top outfit. A hat is also one of the best accessories you can wear to a club. The first thing that gets messed up when I'm at a club and have had one too many yagger shots, is my hair. I've seen pics of me with half open, squinty eyes and my hairs an all over mess. Oh how I wish I had a hat on then... And if your eyes start to get that half open half closed look, just pull that hat down a bit and keep the shots coming. Point is, a hat is a multi-purpose accessory.
Also, I like the brown with the white. Brown and white look really good together. The white purse is cute, I love white purses and they're another thing that's going to be big this spring. I like the bangle bracelet, because if you're going to wear a braclet, bangles are the best. But I would have worn a long necklace with this outfit and changed the big hoop earrings for some dangly ones... And her friend beside her has on one ugly jean coat.
Dresses: Not enough females wear dresses to clubs anymore. Well not in Hamilton anyways. Everyone's always wearing jeans and a tank top. And nobody wants to wear a dress because they'll feel 'too dressed up'.
Well ladies, what's wrong with being the best dressed girl in the room?
I wore a knee length flowy white skirt to Hess once. People looked at me like 'why's she so dressed up'. Some drunk people will even say that to you. But I like dresses and skirts. I'm a girl. WTF. Anyways, as you can see dresses look absolutely fabulous! And I'm Not talking about long shirts that some skanky whores wear as dresses I mean a real dress. I really love the yellow and black one that girl has on. It looks like a looser fit, so it would be comfortable and still looks stunning. I love the mini skirt and turtle neck. If you only remember one thing from my blog remember this: If you're wearing a mini skirt that shows alot of leg keep your top half more covered up. If you're wearing a low cut shirt, keep the bottom half more covered up. That way you will always look classy. Never wear a tiny mini skirt and a really low cut shirt because you will look like trash. So I love how this girl wears a mini but keeps it covered up on top, Very classy, but still sexy.. Don't feel over dressed to wear a dress to a club, see how great these ladies look. So what if you're dressed better then everyone else. So next time you're out shopping for What to Wear to a club, buy a nice classy dress. It's cheaper then buying jeans and a tank top and you're Guaranteed to feel glamorous and fabulous. So what's wrong with that?
I've already talked about my very favourite cheap, homemade beauty products, this time I'm going to talk about my absolute, can't live without, very favourite store bought beauty products. I'm what Dr.Phil would call a Hoarder. You know those people who can't throw anything away. But I'm not like that with everything, just beauty products. I'm not over-exaggerating when I tell you I have a big plastic bin with 4 deep drawers filled with beauty products, my dresser has 3 drawers filled, the cupboard under my sink is over flowing, I have 2 medium size plastic bins full and 2 makeup bags packed with products. I don't use them all, I barely use any. I should throw out the ones I don't use but I can't. I have issues.. So needless to say I have tried many many many beauty products and today I'm going to share with you my favourite ones that I use everyday, or at least often. I've even included some pictures so you can find these products easier.. I'm so good to you.
1. Face wash- So I told you about how wonderful Yogurt is to wash your face with. But if you want to clean right down to the pores you need to use soap. My favourite is an Oatmeal bar of soap from Goodness me. It cost $1.60 and it makes your face feel squeaky clean. I also love Vitamin C face wash from the Body shop. It cost about $20. It smells soooo good and leaves your skin feeling really soft.
2. Moisturizer- Once you're in your early 20s you need to moisturise your face EVERYDAY. It took me a long time to find a favourite and I've tried just about every one out there. But I did find a favourite, its called Philosophy Hope in a Jar from Sephora. I read that it's Oprah's favourite moisturizer, and if it's good enough for Oprah I figure it's good enough for me. So I tried it and it's the best. I think it should keep me wrinkle free for quite awhile. It cost between $15-55 depending on what size you get.
3. Serum- Face serum is a great moisturizer because it absorbs into your skin better then cream Moisturizer. My favourite is Vitamin C Skin Boost serum from the Body shop. The vitamin C helps to really prevent wrinkles, it smells great and leaves your skin feeling sooooo soft. It cost about $35 for a small bottle. It last for months because you only need a very small amount.
4. Under Eye Cream- The best under eye cream I think, is MAC Fast Responds. It cost about $40. Its the best thing for getting rid of puffy under eyes or bags. Say you were out partying the night before and you wake up looking not so great. A little bit of this will take away that puffyness and leave you look refreshed.
5. Moisturizer for Special occasions- MAC Strobe cream is amazing. It cost about $35. I read in Victoria Beckhams book that it's one of her favourites. I bought it for New Years and it's amazing. I wouldn't use it everyday because it has a bit of shimmer but it's perfect for clubs, parties or going out for a special dinner. Put it on under concealer and your face will be luminous. It doesn't sparkle it just makes your face look glowing. If your wearing a dress rub some on your neck, legs and arms and your skin will look stunning.
6. Face Primer- Face Primer, again isn't something I use everyday, but I definately use it when I'm going out. My favourite face primer is by MAC, of course. MAC just makes the best of everything. I can't remember how much it was, I bought it so long ago because a tube of it last forever. But I think it was about $30. Anyways, you put face primer on all over your face. You do this before you put on your makeup to even out your complexion and keep that makeup looking fresh allll night. It also keeps your face from getting shiny. This really is essential to have because you won't have to touch up your makeup while you're out and it'll keep make up looking freshly applied even after a long night of dancing.
7. Hair Products- I said before my favourite shampoo & Conditionair is K-PAK. But that's not all I use on my hair. Before blowdrying always spray a protective spray in your hair. My favourite is AVEDA's Brilliant Damage Control. You can get it at most salons that carry Aveda and I think it was $25. It smells great and uses natural ingredients to keep your hair looking soft and gorgeous. Then once my hair is dry I use K-PAK's protect and shine serum. You can get it at Trade Secrets and it's $20. A little bottle of it last a really long time. It leaves your hair shiny, polished and prevents split ends.
8. Shaving cream - Ok who cares about Shaving cream, they're all the same, but before shaving I put Aloe vera Gel all over my legs. Then shaving cream over top. This will really prevent razor burn and it will leave your legs feeling super ultra soft. The best thing is you can buy a big thing of it for like $3 from shoppers.
9. Tanning Lotions- So I recently completly stopped tanning. I'm 25 and getting scared of wrinkles. I've been tanning in salons since I was 16, and I'm still not a wrinkly leather face. Imagine that. But I know it's done some serious long term damage that I won't see until I'm 45 and covered in sun spots. Anyways, I use (used) Crystal by Australian Gold for my face. I just buy a small tube of it for $20, a big bottle is $120, but the small bottle last me for monthes. It's loaded with vitamins which helps prevent wrinkle and I was told it's the best lotion to buy for preventing UV damage to your skin. For my body I like Almost Famous by Australian Gold. It's about $60 but you can get cheaper bottles of it on the internet for half that price. It smells so good and leaves me nicely bronzed.
I wanted to write 10 of my favourite products, but those 9 are the ones I use everyday, or often so I don't have anymore to write...Unless I make something up..No I won't do that. I'm always looking for new and better products so if you have any that you absolutely love e-mail them to me, please :) Hey I shared my tips with you, least you can do is share yours with me.
This is a serious subject about something terrible that's going on in the world everyday. The purchasing of knock off purses and sunglasses. Ok, you think I'm being shallow but it's really not good and it needs to stop. If you can't afford the real thing don't stoop so low as to buy an imitation of it. People can tell that it's a knock off. If you're walking down the street in running shoes and an old navy t-shirt and you're carrying a supposive Louis Vuitton purse, pleeeease, people aren't dumb, they know its fake. For the same price as that tacky fake purse you could go to Guess and get an amazing, fairly good quility purse. And the fake is so cheaply made they'll fall apart very quickly.
If you really want a high end purse or sunglasses but can't afford the store price go on Ebay. They have tons of authentic purses for half the price. Sure you'll still be paying alot for it but nowhere near as much as in the store. A couple weeks ago I bought an authentic Mark Jacobs purse from e-bay for $100, shipping included. Thats not so bad considering you spend that much on a Guess purse, and about that much on a knock off.
A good reason why you should buy the authentic version is because a Real chanel, gucci, louis..ect purse will never go out of style. And it's made with top of the line quility so you really can have it forever. It will never fall apart. An authentic purse bought in a store can cost between $500- thousands of dollars. But think if you spend $700 on a purse, you'll have it and use it forever and feel absolutely fabulous carrying it.
Why it's Wrong to Buy Fake:
Not only is carrying a fake tacky and tasteless it is ILLEGAL. It affects the economy and increases the price CONSIDERABLY on authentic goods. Also who do you think makes these low quility bags? Little children do, in sweat shops. And these children are often beaten when they make a mistake or don't produce them fast enough. Counterfeiting also funds terrorism. So if you want to support sweat shops and terrorism so you can walk around with your faux-fab knock off, go ahead but I would much rather max out my visa on the real thing.
Lets take a look at the real vs the fake: Can u spot the Fake??
So the real ones were on the Left and the Tacky little Fakes were on the Right.
Let's talk a second about Fake sunglasses. This is what inspired me to write this blog on knock offs. Today I was having a bad day and feeling sad so I went to the mall. I needed to do something to make me happy. So I went into the closes sunglass shop and bought a pair of gorgegous Chanel sun glasses. Could I afford them? No I couldn't but that's why I have a visa card. And those sunglasses suuure made me happy. But the thing is, is the pair I really wanted, that really looked the best on me looked like the knock off Chanel's I've seen. I wasn't going to pay $500 for people to think they're knock offs so I didn't get them and got a pair that really looked authentic. If there was no such thing as knock off's I could have got the pair I really wanted.
When I got home I google searched my sunglasses cause I wanted a picture of them. And this what came up:
This lady had this picture of herself and beside it, it said "here's my Fake $20 Chanel glasses". These look exactly like the glasses I wanted but didn't get, cause there's too many fakes that look like them. These look just like the real ones! That's not fair! I spent money I don't have to buy the real thing and people like this are spending $20 for something that looks the same. That's just not right. Do you feel fabulous in your fake sunglasses?! I hope you sit on them and they break! Because if mine break I have a warrent. Anyways, designers spend alot of money on advertising, marketing, the wonderful fashion shows, and the top notch quility of there products. It's not fair to them to be ripping them off this way. Point is, if you can't afford the real thing buy your sunglasses from Urban Behaviour or do what I do, and max out your visa.
These are the one's I bought but mine are black.
... If you've bought a purse from somewhere that looks like the pic below it's fake. If you buy a supposive authentic purse from a variety store, a street vendor, a sleezy store, ITS FAKE. If it didn't cost you hundreds- thousands of dollars, ITS FAKE. And if you do buy fake at least don't tell people it's real. Thats as annoying as people with clearly fake boobs who try to tell people they're real. But just pleeeease don't buy knock off at all, k.
So I'll start with the girl in the Turqucoise hooker dress. This is the second picture I've posted where the girl is wearing a dress that I swear is from Crystal Shoes. You know how they hang those dresses in the store window? So why are so many girls buying these tacky little things? Did they have a big blow out sale, All dresses marked down to $5.99, or buy one get the second half off.. The 3 layers of ruffles reminds me of the summer dresses my mom use to buy me from Zellers in 1992, and I loved them, Not so much anymore though. Another thing, don't paint your nails the same color as your dress. Unless your dress is red and your nails are red cause red nail polish always look glamorous..Turqucoise doesn't. Don't get me wrong I love the color turqucoise, just not on nails. And get rid of those gotti variety store earrings! I'm not even being mean, they really are from the variety store. They're big, clunky and heart shaped and they sell them at the variety store downtown, I swear. I wish I could see what her shoes look like. I'll bet they're turqucoise too! No wait, I'll bet you she has running shoes on. bahaha! Ok now lets take a look at the other girl. That shirt is f'in ugly. I don't know what else to say about it. It's just plain ol' value village ugly. The only time it would be ok to wear that shirt is maybe to bed, on a grubby night when all your other sleep wear is in the wash. If the shirt had some brown in it I could maybe see why'd she'd wear it with that skirt. But it doesn't. It's green and white, blue and yellow, and that matches with a brown skirt how? It's like casual on the top, downtown hooker on the bottom. And that skirt is unflattering and very outdated. I remember when they sold those skirts at Sirens, many many summers ago.
So here's my advice to these clueless girls: Turqucoise girl, when your at a club and the promoter wants to take you picture, smile. Or even smirk. Try to look a bit happy instead of looking like your in pain. They're not taking your picture for French Vogue so you don't have to put on your most serious face... But then again if I were wearing that outfit I wouldn't be smiling either. And next time you go shopping for a club outfit try limeridge, instead of downtown. G-Unit girl, same goes for you. Stay away from the discount rack at The Jump Off downtown and try to find a decent outfit elsewhere. Oh yeah and stay away from shirts with verticle strips, they're rarely flattering.
I'm so tired of all this cold, snow and wind. I can't wait till Spring!! So to get our minds off this horrible weather lets start thinking about Spring Fashion. In the past few weeks there have been Fashion weeks taken place in all the biggest cities to display what will be the new spring looks. Take a look at what's most in style for this Spring:
High Waisted is still very much in style for this Spring. Think 50's-60s. High waisted knee length skirts are hugh for spring. I'm weary of how long high waisted pants are going to last for but they seem to be sticking around for a bit.Where to find them?? Just about every store is carrying them right now. If you want a large selection of high waisted skirts Le Chateau is your best bet. They have tons in right now. For high waisted pants, Guess has some amazing ones in right now in different colours and styles. They even have some cute high waisted shorts in.
Wide leg pants and pants with a large flare are back! The great thing about a wide leg pant is that is it looks good on everyone. They look so classy too. They look great with a heeled shoes, maybe not so great with flats, so stick to a heel. Good news, Great news is skinny jeans are still around for another season. I love skinny jeans so much and my saddest day will be when they're as out of style as coloured jeans but for now they're still #1. They look so amazing with boots, heels or flats.
Head scarves are going to be a big trend in accessories this spring. Get them in an array of colours. They're versatile so you can tie it around your head, around your waist as a belt, or even tie one to your purse to give your purse abit of spice.
Ohhhh how I loooove the 50s!! 50's/60's style dresses and skirts are Huge for this spring. This is a look inspired by old hollywood. Think Grace Kelly, full dresses and pencil skirts. How glamorous would you feel in one of these fabulous flowing dresses! I love everything about 50s style so I'm really glad I can find clothes from that era in every store I walk into. The best place to get 50s inspired clothes is a website called Pin-up girl clothing, I have the link to the site in the side bar with the rest of my favourite links. So check it out, it has the most beautiful dresses.
The colours for this spring are red, blue, pink, and camouflage colours are going to be big too. I dont mean camouflage like army print. I mean browns and sand. Inspired by the safari. Also, Safari style white hats and large bags are items you're going to see everywhere.
Plaid is another thing that is making a come back this spring. It's been seen in a few of the big fashion shows the past couple of weeks. Personally, I haven't been a fan of plaid since grade 6, but who am I to argue with whats in style.
The one shoulder look or off the shoulder tops are another style that is making its comeback, being seen in the Diane Von Furstenburg show during fashion week. The last time I saw the one shoulder look was like 7 years ago when just about every tank top in every store had only one shoulder strap. I kinda like this look. I don't love it, just kinda like it.
I have more pics but I guess I used up my uploading picture quota of the day because it won't let me upload anymore. They'll have to wait for another day.
Check out this short video clip from LAMB's runway show during New York fashion week, displaying her new Spring collection. Notice all the 50's dresses, high waisted and pencil skirts?
Eatting Right for Beautiful Skin We're not talking about diet tips here. Just foods you should eat if you want glowing, clear, perfect skin. You can improve your complexion from the inside. Remember that 90s commercial with the guy with acne that said "People think I eat too many choc-o-late bars". Well there is some truth to that. Eating fried and processed foods can cause damage to skin cells . Also, if you don't hydrate yourself your skin can become very dry, causing wrinkles. So here's some tips to get or maintain your beautiful skin.
Tomatoes and Olive oil contain anti-aging fighters that stop collagen from breaking down. As you age your collagen begins to break down causing wrinkle, so it's important to slow that process as much as possible. Try these 2 ingrediants together as bruschetta.
Pomegranante juice is an amazing antioxidant. Not just essential for preventing cancer but drinking it everyday can vanish fine lines. My favourite is cherry and Pomegranante POM juice, you can find at any grocery store.
Drink water and only water. I know the taste is blah but you'll get use to it. It's the key to great skin. It's the best thing to keep you hydrated so your skin doesn't get dry and it's the best thing to prevent celulite because it maintains skins elasticity.
Take Fish oil/Cod liver oil vitamins for strong nails, beautiful skin and shinny hair
Drink Chamomile tea with fresh lemon juice (a real lemon not bottle lemon) and a bit of honey. This not only calms you but is great for tired looking skin.
Hot water, table spoon of apple cider vinegar and natural lemon juice reduces toxins from your glands. Plus gives you energy.
I take Irons suppliments and if you think you might be deficient, you should too. If you have brittle nails, dark circles under your eyes, pale complexion and are tired during the day you could be not getting enough iron. Taking these suppliments will give you strong nails, completely get rid of dark circles and give you a nice color to your skin without tanning.
Everyday I drink a tea called Cleanse by Pukka. You can get it at Health food stores/ Organic grocery stores. It has Nettle leaf, which nourishes skin. Also Aloe vera leaf and licorice root to help purify the skin.
Nuts and seeds are full of skin-enhancing nutrients. Especially vitamins A and E. You'll probably recognise these as ingredients in your skin creams. These vitamins protect your body from damage from pollution and sun damage. The best ones to eat are Almonds, sunflower seeds and walnuts.
Green tea is used in some of the best skin care products. This is because it works by slowing aging. So if it works by putting it on your skin, it works better from the inside out.
The most important vitamins for beautiful skin and where to find them:
Vitamin A is found in mango, carrots, spinach, sweet potatoes, red and yellow peppers, and apricot.
Vitamin B is found in low-fat dairy products, bananas, oats, peanuts, chicken breast, mushrooms, sunflower seeds, and asparagus.
Vitamin C is found in oranges, Brussels sprouts, green peppers, strawberries, and kiwi.
Vitamin E found in avocado, egg yolk, nuts, liver, peanut butter and whole grain.
Zinc- A lack of zinc can cause stretch marks and pimples. A dull complexion, white spots on fingernails, and dandruff are signs you could be deficient. You can find Zinc in Seafood, red meat, turkey, cheese, eggs, nuts, wholegrains and mushrooms. Red meat is bad for you so I wouldn't really recommend getting your Zinc from red meat.
Watch this Video: Ford Model talks about the advantages to eatting Flax Seeds for healthy, beautiful skin.
Geeze, how embarrasing. Is she aware that this is a vest, it's not a shirt. Now there are some styles of vest you can wear without a shirt underneath, this is not one of them. Showing a little bit of lace on a sexy bra is ok, but exposing your entire bra is skanky and wrong. I like vests so this wouldn't be such a terrible outfit had she gotten fully dressed that morning. Her friend even seems to be a bit mortified. Notice the half smirk. She can't even bring herself to fully smile. I don't blame her, I'd be embarrassed too, to be seen with someone dressed so absurd. I'd have to be Pre-tty drunk and on some hard drugs to leave my house partially topless. Surely, this girl owns a plain t-shirt she could have worn underneath. A tank top? Tube Top? Anything is better then nothing. Leaving something to the imagine is much more sexy then exposing yourself to everyone. I know she probably wore this because she saw someone wearing a vest with no shirt and thought it looked good and would give it a try. What she wasn't aware of is there are different types of vest and the people who wear a vest without a shirt on don't look ridicilous because they have the right style on. So here's my advice to this shirtless girl: Check yourself in the mirror before leaving the house. If you notice you don't have a shirt on, put one on. Problem solve. Take a look below, I have posted a picture of a vest you can wear without a shirt. Notice how it's not cut so low that everything is exposed? So before you go out looking not so chic, put a shirt on or buy a proper vest.
Hamilton has class I'm crabby today because people drive slow. It's only snow assholes! We live in Canada get use to it!..so this blog might be a little meaner then usual but I'm posting it anyways. No, this wasn't taken at a broke down strip club, it's club 77... And on All ages night. Ok, I completely understand people do retarded things when they're hammered. That's the story of my life, when I drink. But this is All Ages night which means these girls can't get served. Sure they could have drank before hand but that wears off fast unless you keep the shots coming.
The only time doing something this embarrassing is ok, is if your drunk out of your face and the next day you feel embarrassed and have to apologize to your friends for your behaviour. These silly girls don't even know what to do with the pole. They're not even dancing, at least if you're going to get up there show everyone you're best stripper moves. Don't just stand there one hand on the pole laughing, fixing your hair and basking in the attention from the surounded drunk guys, who now know who the 'easy' girls in the clubs are. Ok, enough about their behaviour, this is suppose to be about what they are wearing. Two of my biggest pet peeves in the whoooole world are people who wear running shoes and people who wear flip-flops to a club. You're not going to walk your dog, your not going to hang out at the beach, You're at a Club. And 77 is one of the nicer clubs in Hamilton so at least put something kinda nice on. It amazes me that all 3 of these girls have on either dirty old runners or cheap 99 cent flip flops. It doesn't even cost alot for a nice pair of shoes. I got an amazing pair of gold&black heels from Le Chateau acouple days ago on sale for $29.99 down from $69.99. So I'm not saying you have to have $$$ to look nice, you just have to care. Ok if for some crazy reason you absolutely must wear running shoes, lets say you can't stand how your feet hurt after a long night of dancing. That's exceptable but at least wear a nice pair of runners. Diesel, Sketchers and Aldo make runners that you can dress up. While wearing Flip-flop wouldn't people be stepping on your toes? Owch. I know when I have on a pair of heels at a club, I'm constantly freaking out because people keep stepping on them.
Now lets talk about these outfits. The girl with the runners on is wearing jean shorts and a plain tank top. Boooooring! That's an outfit I might wear on a hot summers day to clean my house. Not something you wear out to a club. The flipflops girl is wearing long sleeves. I never understood people who wore long sleeves to a club. It's hot in there. Especially if you're dancing. And another thing I can't understand, Where are their purses??? How do you go out, not just to a club, but anywhere without a purse? Where do you keep your makeup? Where do you keep your money? Where do you keep your cell phone? With no place for money or car keys how are these girls going to get home at the end of the night? Walk? Hitch a ride with some drunk guy? I feel a little concerned for them. I just can't understand how you can go out without a purse, it's mind boggling to me. If she had a purse she'd have somewhere to put a brush, then she might not have that big rats nest tangle forming on top of her head.
So My advice to these girls would be, Don't wear flip-flops or dirty old runners to a club, ever. If you're wearing flip flops not only do you look like you just came from the beach but also your feet will get stepped on by drunk people and it will hurt. Second, bring a purse. How can you not? And lastly, if you're going to get up on a stripper pole in front of everyone, dance. And I don't mean taking your clothes off I just mean if you're going to get up there then work the pole. Don't just stand around it because you look silly.
Watch this clip of a modeling falling on the runway, not once but twice. I feel bad for her, that runway looks slippery and those shoes look impossible to walk in.
Today instead of telling you what you should Not be wearing I'm going to talk about what you Should be wearing. Though it is much more fun for me to post pictures of people in horrible disasterous outfits, it's good to take a look at some really stylish outfits too. It's inspiring (for me anyways) to see someone in a really nice put together outfit. If I see something I like on some else, I don't copy it but I take what I liked from it and make it my own. So today we're going to take a look at Fashion Icon of the World, Miss Kate Moss and some random club girl with an awsome outfit.
Kate Moss is the most inspiring Fashion icon of our century, in my opinion. Ok, so maybe you like to poke fun at her because she's so skinny. And she's not typically pretty. But you really can't deny she has amazing style. Her clothing line at Top Shop is brilliant. Though, I can't buy any of it because we don't have a Top Shop here.Ugh. She has a style of her own that suites her body frame and makes her stand out in the most unique way. I've included in my pictures of Kate Moss a little style guild so you can 'get her look'.. Your Welcome... If you think you don't like her style I almost guarantee you've copied it without knowing. Kate was wearing little black vest, skinny jeans, ankle boots and belts over shirts Before anyone else was. And now you can't go anywhere without see that style. Not everyone can pull off their own different style. Remember Golden Girl from last Fridays Blog. There's a prime example of someone trying to be different and stand out but, ended up looking like a giant shimmering mess. Pairing things that don't often go together can end up looking great, sometimes. Like ankle boots and shorts. So take inspiration from Kate and be risky. Wear a leather jacket, big accessories, and a mens dress shirts with a clinch belt around your waist. Just look in the mirror before leaving the house to make sure you didn't go too over board.
Fashionistas Now I'm Not talking about the drunk girl on the far right with her stomach out, I'm just talking about the 2 other ladies. Girls take note, this is how you dress to go to a club when you want to recieve the right kind of attention. Notice how they're not revealing anything but still look sexy. High Waisted jeans look so sophicated and stylish but they are an item that isn't going to be around forever and will probably be out by next season so if you are going to invest in a pair be aware of that. But for now they look amazing. This is my first time seeing them in carpi form and I looove them. Nothing, and I really mean Nothing looks more fresh then a crisp white shirt. I don't think you can ever go wrong with one. If you have a pair of pants and don't know what to wear with them a new white shirt will always look amazing. The gold hand bag is gorgegous, I love gold purses, jeweley, shoes, just don't over do it. Actually I am going to mention one thing about the girl on the far right. I love her wide leg pants. Wide legs pants are really big right now and unlike skinny jeans, wide leg pants look great on anyone, whatever your body type is. The only thing I would change on these outfits is, the girl in the middle seems to have on a red or pink bra. You can see it through the shirt. Always wear a white bra with a white shirt, otherwise it takes away from the clean chrisp look of the shirt. The girl on the left, I really like her shoes. They look cute with her outfit but a black pair or even a gold pair would look a little better. Besides that these outfits are amazing and make me want to buy a pair of high waisted pants right now.
So I haven't written a blog in a few days because my spell check is still broken so I have to Google search all my misspelled works. It's very tetious. Anyways today's topic is...
How to Have Gorgegous Hair: TodayI'm going to give tips on having beautiful, healthy, shiny, soft hair. A few monthes ago I had the dryest most damaged hair in the whooole world. I'm not kidding you. Once my makeup artist told me that I had the most damaged hair she has ever seen, and she's been doing hair & makeup forever. So that propted me to make a change right away. I would wash, blow dry and straighten my hair Everyday. I didn't know how to stop. If I don't starighten my hair its half straight and half wavey, so I had to straighen it. My hair wouldn't grow past my shoulders because it was so dead it would just break off. When I decided I couldn't stand my dry hair anymore I stopped killing it with heating products and did a bunch of research to find what would restore my hair. And here's what I found Really works.
K-PAK- A few people told me that if I wanted to restore my damaged hair to get K-PAK by Joico. They sell it at most Beauty Supply stores, I get mine at Trade Secrets. It's a bit pricey about $20 for shampoo and conditioner, each. But you can usually get it on sale. Anyways, before that I tried a ton of different Shampoos and conditions. I tried everything from Aveda, Bedhead and John Freida, salon shampoos, drugstore conditioners, everything and anything. Nothing really worked that great until I tried K-PAK. This stuff smells amazing too. You only need a small amount of the shampoo because it lathers up really well. Instantly after using it I could see and feel a very noticable difference and I've been buying it ever since.
Olive Oil/Coconut Oil: Forget those hot oil treatments you get at the drugstore, Olive oil works WAY better. And you can get a big bottle of it for the same price as those little Hot Oil treatments. This stuff has completely changed my hair. Pour some Olive Oil in your hands and rub it through your hair.Just on the bottom half of your hair. You don't want it on your roots. Leave it in for at least 15 mins or you can sleep with it in your hair. When you wash it out your hair will be sooooo soft. It really is the best thing for dry hair. Coconut oil works really good too. It's usually sold in a solid form but if you scoop some out it will melt in your hands in seconds. It's not as greesy as Olive Oil so you don't have to worry about it getting all over your pillow case if you sleep with it in.
Removing Build Up: You get build up in your hair from everyday styling products and the pollution in the air. You need to remove this build up in order for your hair to look shiney and soft. The best way to do this is to rotate shampoo and conditioners. So buy 2 different kinds and use one kind one time, and the other one the next time. I'm really not sure why this works but it does. You can also remove build up by adding a tablespoon of baking soda with your hair conditioner. This will make your hair instantly shiny.
Shiny Hair Mixture: To get beautiful shiny hair mix one part vinegar with 4 parts carbonated water and pour onto dry hair. When your hair is dry it absorbs anything you put in it much better then if it's wet. Leave this in for 15mins and then rinse out. Another way to get shiny hair, while your washing your hair mix a couple tablespoons of honey into your shampoo. The honey will trap moisture in your hair, leaving your hair beautiful.
Volume: You never want to use too much hair spray. In addition to making you look like you just stepped out of 1962, too much hair spray can weigh down your hair, leaving it flat. Here's how to give your hair a bit of volume. When you're blow drying your hair and your almost finished, spray hairspray onto your brush and run it through your hair from root to tip. This holds volume and shine. For lots of Volume roll your hair in Velcro rollers (you can get them at Shoppers). Use the smallest rollers for the top of your head and the bigger ones for the side. Leave them in while you shower. The heat from the shower will cause hair to shape to the rollers. Blow dry for a minute after to really set it. And Vola, volumous hair. This really works. I have pretty flat hair and though, I don't have time to do this everyday I always do this when I'm going out.
Oily Hair: So your hair is pretty greesy looking but you don't have time to wash it. What do you do? You take a bit of baby powder rub it on your hands and run it through the roots of your hair. It will absorb the oils right away. And it rubs into your hair so it doesn't look white, unless you use way too much. Trust me this works, this is how I am able to go a day without washing my hair. I have oily hair, if I don't wash it everyday it looks greesy but if I wash it everyday it gets dry and breaks. So I put a bit of baby powder in it and it looks freshly washed. However I hate the smell of baby powder so I spray a bit of my favourite perfum onto my brush and run it though my hair. Never spray perfum directly onto your hair because the alcohol in it will dry your hair. Anyways this makes my hair smell great.
Avocado hair mask: I've read many celebs mash up an avacodo (you can find one at any grocery store) and put it in their hair. Super Model Janice Dickinson swears by this. Avocados are rich in vitamins, essential fatty acids and minerals that will help restore luster to your hair. I tried it and I didn't really love it. It made my hair pretty soft but nothing really amazing. You can try it if you want, it might work wonders, who knows. Just mash up the inside of an avocado, leave it in your hair for at least 15 minutes and rinse out. When it's in your hair it will harden and your hair will feel like it has a ton of gel in it. But it rinses out really easy.
Vitamins: Take a capsol of borage oil, evening primrose oil, flaxseed oil, or fish oil. Any one of those 4. All are rich in omega-3 fatty acids like gamma-linolenic acid, great for keeping hair (and nails) moisturized. I just recently started taking fish oil pills so it will take a couple months to notice a difference but I'll keep you posted. Supposively it works really well.

First my Spell Check isn't working, so if there's a million misspelled words it's because I'm a retard at spelling. Second, before we take a look at todays fashion victims I just want to say that by poking fun at what other people are wearing doesn't mean I think I'm better then anyone. I have made a Million fashion faux pas in my life. Just ask anyone I went to highschool/ middle school with. Remember Green Jeans?.. But you can't learn what works for you if you don't make mistakes. I put a pink line through the fashion victims face to conceal their identity because I don't want to embarrass anyone, that's not the point of this site. But looking at other people's mistakes can help you learn what works for you. So if you see your picture on my site with a pink line through your face don't get mad because chances are if you wore that outfit in public I'm not the only one who had a remark about it. So having said that, lets take a look at todays Pink Line Ladies.
WTF?
This pic was taken at Hess. These girls are obviously new to the club scene and probably from a small town somewhere up north (No offence to my friend Sara who lives up north, because she dresses nice). Why are they all wearing the same shirt? Wearing the same shirt as your friend at the bar is only ok if you work at the bar and the manager makes you all wear the same shirt for some stupid advertising promotion. Besides that you look pretty retarted. Since the shirt says "I Am From..." I'm assuming they're wearing these shirts to try to get hit on? So stupid drunk guys come up to them, read the writting across they're chest and ask where they're from. Pretty smart idea for someone desprete. But hey, it looks like it works, there is a drunk guy lerking around them. My advice to these lovely ladies: Wearing the same thing as your friend was ok in elementry school. Heck I use to do that with my bestfriend Terry in grade 5. Anyways, it's not ok to do that now. If you're old enough to go to a bar then you're an adult and adults don't wear matching outfits with there friends. And shirts with sayings on it are never ever a good choice no matter how clever or whitty you might think it is.
Golden Girl Hmmmm.. So this is interesting. Another picture from Barcode...This is a whole lot of crazy. Being so matchy is not a good choice for anyone. Don't match the headband with the earrings with the shirts with the tights with the bracelet with the necklace with the purse with the shoes... You get my point. I'll be honest I use to be a matchy person too. Gawd, I even matched my lipsticks and eye shadows to my outfits..But I've learned from that, it just doesn't look very good. Silver lipstick is not a good look on Anyone unless you're trying to look like the Tin man. And your bra hanging out of your shirt definately doesn't look classy. If you want to wear a shirt that is very open in the front Please Always wear a tank top underneath or a tube top. Those shirts are meant to have a tank top underneath, your not suppose to have your whole bra hanging out. The shirt wouldn't be so bad if she paired the shirt with skinny jeans and that was really the only gold thing she had on besides a couple gold accessories, and she could even wear the shoes too but lose the bag and thights for sure. The socks really add a bit of craziness to this outfit. Are those frilly socks?? I didn't know they sold those in adult sizes. We all know socks and sandles don't look good together but neither do socks and strappy heels.. My advice to this lady would be simple: Gold is my favourite colour too but that's just too much of it on one person. Frilly socks are for 5 year olds, and wearing socks with dressy heels makes you look crazy.
